GLOBAL SURVEY ON THE TREATMENT OF ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY (AKI)

GLOBAL SURVEY ON THE TREATMENT OF ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY (AKI)

Thank you for agreeing to complete this survey. Before you start, please see below a short background to the initiative.

0by25 is an initiative of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), which aims to eliminate preventable deaths from Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) worldwide by 2025.

This survey is intended to gain a better understanding of the way AKI is treated in your country. It will also serve to identify appropriate settings to conduct further AKI research through the following 0by25 projects:

“Global Snapshot”: a cross-sectional study with enrollment and follow up of AKI patients seen around the world.

“AKI Cohort Study”: a prospective cohort study of AKI patients followed over a period of at least 3 months. This will be conducted at selected centers across the world and will provide an updated database on the incidence, management and treatment of AKI globally.

The aim of both these projects will be to gather prospective data, leveraging local resources and expertise, with a view to strengthening the case for and implementing ‘need driven’ approaches to fighting AKI globally.
